PINES iyengar Yoga
Pines Iyengar Yoga is a boutique yoga studio located in Pembroke Pines Florida. We specialize in small group, private, and semi-private classes, as individualized attention is key. All classes are taught in the Iyengar Tradition of Yoga. This tradition provides a safe and systematic approach for all levels of fitness. In-person classes are offered in the studio, but we do offer an online option for classes as well.

BKS Iyengar
BKS Iyengar is often credited with bringing yoga to the Western Hemisphere. He presented yoga in a format which his students could easily understand, experience, assimilate and incorporate into their daily lives. By introducing props, he made yoga accessible to all ages and body types. By refining a teaching technique over 70 years, he created one of the most respected certifications in the industry. By expanding on the therapeutic application of yoga, he brought yoga to the fore as an option to alleviate any human condition.

I am a Certified Yoga Therapist and Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. I was introduced to Iyengar Yoga after two car accidents, one week apart. I credit the methodical and systematic approach of Iyengar Yoga to my speedy recovery. I have attended Teacher Training with senior teachers such as Lois Steinberg and Colleen Gallagher over the course of twenty(20) years. I have a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and have worked for years as a Software Developer. My engineering mind continues to be attracted to Iyengar Yoga because of its systematic approach and its focus on precision. I love that through Iyengar Yoga, anyone, regardless of medical condition, age, or flexibility can experience the benefits of yoga.
